With the show's end in the same month, her character of Taamsi was killed in its finale episode. She entered the show in May 2019 as Taamsi. Simultaneously alongside shoot of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, she also signed a negative role in another Kapoor production, the supernatural revenge thriller Naagin 3 where she appeared in its last few episodes. Her portrayal of Aliya Sharma opposite Abhishek Verma and Abhishek Malik was praised and she continued to act in it, before the series went off air in December 2019.
The parallel lead role in Ekta Kapoor's daily soap Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, a Star Plus programme, which Mukherjee joined in 2016 marked a turning point in her career and proved to be her breakthrough role. Her third screen appearance occurred in Twist Wala Love.
